Matt Stairs is almost out of AB for this season, but I' shopping him

and a solid outfielder right now.

Send Email

Hi Gentlemen,

What I feared happen once again this year... and sooner than expected. One team
already got their 75 roster slots taken due to
trade or roster movements. This is a SOM limitation. So I would require
OLYMPIA to stop trading because I can't move one more
players to his team. Johnny you can still trade, but we can't move players to
your team (I still can move players FROM your
team, but it wouldn't be faire for you if you have less player than other GM).
What I can do is register your trade and do them
at the END OF THE SEASON. Sorry, it's not me but the game we use.

Gentlemen,

After 3 days of festivities and celebration, the metropolis of Stirling
closed out the 1998 C.B.A. All Star Game. In a closely contested
battle, the Staub All Stars edged out the team from Clemente.

The game was played before a standing room only crowd of 48,745 as the
two teams paraded out an astounding 61 players! The capacity crowd
wasn't disappointed either as the game went right down to the final out
before Staub was able to claim victory.

Staub entered the bottom of the ninth with a 5-2 lead and 3 of their
premier closers still in the bullpen, but they needed all 3 of them to
finish off Clemente. With 2 runs in the bottom of the frame the home
team Clemente team was edged by the final score of 5-4.

Curt Schilling picked up the win with 1 inning of relief and Rod Beck
notched the save. Chris Holt was tagged with the loss after giving up
2 unearned runs in the 8th inning. Tony Gywnn homered for Staub and
Dave Justice replied for Clemente.

Life can be so unfair. Its easy to joke about it, but I truly believe
that, in the midst of this NBA player's strike against the team owners,
now is the time for us to show the world just how much we care. It's
just not right. Hundreds of basketball players in the most affluent
country in the world are living at or just below the seven-figure salary
line. And as if that weren't bad enough, now they will be deprived of
pay for several weeks - possibly a whole year!

But now you can help, my friends. For about two thousand dollars a day
- that's less than the cost of a large screen projection TV - you can
help keep a basketball player economically viable during his time of
need. Two thousand dollars a day may not seem like a lot of money to
you, but to a basketball player it could mean the difference between a
golfing vacation or a Mediterranean cruise. For you, two thousand
dollars is nothing more than three months rent. But to a basketball
player, two thousand dollars a day will almost replace his salary. Your
commitment of two thousand dollars a day will enable a player to buy
that home entertainment center, trade in that year-old Lexus for a new
Ferrari, or enjoy a weekend in Rio.

"HOW WILL I KNOW I'M HELPING?"

Each month, you will receive a complete financial report on the player
you sponsor. Detailed information about his stocks, bonds, 401(k), real
estate and other investment holdings will be mailed to your home. You'll
also get information on how he plans to invest the $5 million lump sum
he will receive upon retirement.

"HOW WILL HE KNOW I'M HELPING?"

Your basketball player will be told that he has a SPECIAL FRIEND who
just wants to help in a time of need. Although the player won't know
your name, he will be able to make collect calls to your home via a
special operator, just in case additional funds are needed for
unexpected expenses.

Want to lend a helping hand? Simply fill out the form below.

Mail or e-mail the completed form to NBA Players Association, or call
1-888-TOOMUCH now to enroll by phone (Children under 18 must have
parent's approval)

Note: Sponsors are not permitted to contact the player they have
sponsored, either in person or by other means including, but not limited
to, telephone calls, letters, e-mail, or third parties. Keep in mind
that, thanks to your generous donations, the basketball player you have
sponsored will be much too busy enjoying his free time. Contributions
are not tax deductible.

I had to act quickly... 2 emergency scrubs had been taken for Kilgore:
Ricky Bones and Todd Ritchie.

The requirement for this: less than 6 pitcher or 15 players.

Claude,

I'll put a claim on who Kilgore has to cut. I'll
cut Vaughn Eselman to keep my rosters at 32.
If there are two I'll take the one that last name is
alpha-betically last.

Dave

A tough pennant chase in the Dawson division (east). Hamilton and their
world class pitching and the Brooklyn Supers are duking it out for the top

Hi Gentlemen,

I had to act quickly... 2 emergency scrubs had been taken for Kilgore:
Ricky Bones and Todd Ritchie.

The requirement for this: less than 6 pitcher or 15 players.

Claude,

I'll put a claim on who Kilgore has to cut. I'll
cut Vaughn Eselman to keep my rosters at 32.
If there are two I'll take the one that last name is
alpha-betically last.

In a trade even up, mainly as future value, I'd be interested
in anybodys opinion on a trade for Fransisco Cordova for Darren
Dreifort.

Cordova had a swoon in June and was pretty consistant the
rest of the year. He's also a little Gee (spelled Guy
and in America pronounced Guy.)

Dreifort finished weakly, and was actually held out the last
3 weeks of the season, possibly indicating possible arm trouble.
Dreifort is a big kid, possibly indicating there will be less of
a long term impact, if there is arm trouble.

Hello guys !

The Frenchies are looking for some help for the next season. We need a
righty power hitter who can play at 3B or in the OF. We have a couple of
guys available to pay every asked price. Even our best players are
available for the right player. So, if you have a good veteran or anyone
else that is far better than the average, drop a line and we'll see what
we can do.

Howdy Folks,

Had this joke sent to me and made me miss summer already!!
(Among other things)! ;-D

Wayne

Two worms live together on a golf course.

The first worm says, "What kind of day is it?"

The other worm says, "You know, I don't know, but I was thinking of
going up and checking it out."

The first worm says, "That's a good idea. Why don't you do that."

So the second worm starts on his way up through the dirt.

At the same time, two lady golfers are walking along the fairway.

The first one says, "Jeez, I gotta wiz."

Her friend says, "Well, it's very early. There's nobody else here on the
course."

"Do it right here. Nobody will know."

The first lady says, "You think so? Right here?"

Her friend says, "Yeah."

And she agrees to do it, because it helps the joke.

She pulls down her skivvies, and lifts up her little golf dress and she
squats.

She's just about to commence when the worm pokes his head up out of the
grass right below her. She lets fly, and forget it, he gets drenched.

He's dripping wet as he goes back down through the dirt. He goes up to
the first worm, and he's soaking wet.

The first worm looks at him and says, "Oh, it's raining, huh?"

The second worm says, "Not only is it raining, but it's raining so hard
the damm birds are building their nests upside-down!"

"Kinda sick, wasn't it"?
hehehehe

Hi Gentlemen,

Before I start the Serie #50 I want some things to be cleared.

* If More than 2 teams are tied, MLB rules will apply.
* For playoffs, all teams will be rested and all season's DL may be available for playoffs.
* If a tie-breaker is necessary, rosters from serie #49 will take effect (like MLB).

Yes, you read right! Scott Brosius, the WS MVP is available for trading. As
well as D.Segui and maybe B.Higginson. Is that big names or what. What's
the catch you say? Well, I'm looking to improve my pitchers staff.
Especially starting pitchers. So if you're interested in one of these guys

Howdy folks,

Had this news article passed on to me by a friend. It scared the hell
out of me and I thought it would be smart to pass it on to everyone in
my address book.

Kirk..........you are the closest to the action in Texas so keep your
shirt on!

------------------------------------------------------------------------
This story came from the "DailyTexan" - the University of Texas
"Reason not to party anymore"

This guy went out last Saturday night to a party. He was having a
good time, had a couple of beers and some girl seemed to like him and
invited him to go to another party. He quickly agreed and decided to
go along with her. She took him to a party in some apartment and they
continued to drink, and even got involved with some other drugs
(unknown which).

The next thing he knew, he woke up completely naked in a bathtub filled
with ice. He was still feeling the effects of the drugs, but looked
around to see he was alone. He looked down at his chest, which had
"CALL 911 OR YOU WILL DIE" written on it in lipstick. He saw a phone
was on a stand next to the tub, so he picked it up and dialed. He
explained to the EMS operator what the situation was and that he didn't
know where he was, what he took, or why he was really calling.

She advised him to get out of the tub. He did, and she asked him to
look himself over in the mirror. He did, and appeared normal, so she
told him to check his back. He did, only to find two 9 inch slits on
his lower back. She told him to immediately, get back into the tub and
they sent a rescue team over. Apparently, after being examined, he
found out more of what had happened. His kidneys were stolen!!!!!

They are worth 10,000 dollars each on the black market. (I was unaware
this even existed.) Several guesses are in order: The second party was
a sham, the people involved had to be at least medical students, and
it was not just recreational drugs he was given. Regardless, he is
currently in the hospital on life support, awaiting a spare kidney.
The University of Texas in conjunction with Baylor University Medical
Center is conducting tissue research to match the sophomore student with
a donor.

I wish to warn you about a new crime ring that is targeting business
travelers. This ring is well organized, well funded, has very skilled
personnel, and is currently in most major cities and recently very
active in New Orleans.

The crime begins when a business traveler goes to a lounge for a
drink at the end of the work day. A person in the bar walks up as they
sit alone and offers to buy them a drink. The last thing the traveler
remembers until they wake up in a hotel room bath tub, their body
submerged to their neck in ice, is sipping that drink. There is a note
taped to the wall instructing them not to move and to call 911. A phone
is on a small table next to the bathtub for them to call. The business
traveler calls 911 who have become quite familiar with this crime. The
business traveler is instructed by the 911operator to very slowly and
carefully reach behind them and feel if there is a tube protruding from
their lower back. The business traveler finds the tube and answers,
"Yes." The 911 operator tells them to remain still, having already
sent paramedics to help. The operator knows that both of the business
traveler's kidneys have been harvested!!!

This is not a scam or out of a science fiction novel, it is real.
It is documented and confirmable. If you travel or someone close
to you travels, please be careful.

Sadly, this is very true. My husband is a Houston Firefighter/EMTand
they have received alerts regarding this crime ring. It is to be taken
very seriously. The daughter of a friend of a fellow firefighter had
this happen to her.

Skilled doctor's are performing these crimes! (which, by the way
have been highly noted in the Las Vegas area). Additionally, the
military has received alerts regarding this. This story blew me away.
I really want as many people to see this as possible so please bounce
this to whoever you can.

Subject: Brooklyn Parties After Winning Dawson Title
WASS2WIN@xxx.xxx

The Brooklyn Superbas are excited. Brooklyn fans are rabid, and a fever
is gripping Brooklyn like none since the 56 Dodgers in their series. Finishing
in the tough CBA Dawson division in 1st place. This 101 win season is a 32
game improvement over last seasons 69 wins at the House of Pain. "First
place was our goal, and most important for us." says GM Marc Wasserman.
"John Stearns led us in a miracle season. No superstars here but great
balance."

The "House of Pain" has earned its name this season, as the Supers wonmore
than 50 games there. With home field advantage in the playoffs, the Longue
Point Hitmen are most likely feeling the heat. Brooklyn set a CBA record in
Home field winning pct this year. GM Wass attributes that to good pitching
that kept opposition at bay in the New Ebbetts Field, and excellent team
power. With Huskey, Hundley, Zeile, Sosa, Dunston, Mondesi and Joyner each
over 25 HRs. Zeile, Hundley, Huskey, and Sosa each more than 38 taters,
forming an awesome murderers row at the House of Torture.

Rey Ordonez remains still the most popular player as his glove is of Brooklyn
legend. El Rey has just purchased a 42 acre estate in Bushwick seeking to
revitalize that neighborhood. Brooklyn Borough president "Crazy" Sal DeSalvo
has been pleased as well. "Dese f*n fans mean beans, lots of beans, I aint
talking baked either. The F*s love this S*t. And were ridin this sh*t all
the way to my... er the bank. The Supoibs are a Brooklyn instituion. Lotsa
dough. Get it? Nuff said" Well the streets were mayhem last Monday when news
came of the division title. Cars overturned, Fires set in memory, friendly
Brooklyn beatings and fistfights were all part of the fun. Many like
Ramsheead Al'Shetstayn and Mel Rabinowitz were united in their celebration in
Brooklyn's festive family riots in Prospect Park. Each man said I k iiiil
you than punched each other in the lower regions, and embraced. A true
bonding for our fair borough.

The Superbas are looking to rebuild after this playoff. That means anyone
may go, and I mean ANYONE. I am looking to build for next season and beyond,
and Im definitive about the talent I trade for. Im not looking to firesale or
dump. I may be willing to trade a star for a nice package of picks and
players.

I am sitting on Sammy Sosa right now, and I'm tinkering with the idea of
trading him for a good base of talent, and picks, as I had Frank Thomas last
winter. He should be special this year and I'm sure in the future. Mondesi
maybe as well. I am open to negotiations.
