I'm Michael (Mike for short) Koepp (pronounced Kep) but I'm not a
stickler for that.
I've lived in San Diego, California aka paradise for 30 years.
Originally born in Northern Maine in 1967.
So, If you do your math you'll figure out my age.
Not trying to be a chick about it just trying to be interesting.

My favorite team? By birth of course The Boston Red Sox.
The lovable losers of New England finally came through in 2004.
Considering my affiliation you'd think I'd be a Yankee hater?
Well, sure. I'm not a huge fan of The Yanks but not a militant about it.
I leave that to my cousins still in the area.
Since I'm across the country I forgive a lot.
Even Bucky Dent and Aaron Boone.

I work as a producer/writer/editor at a local WB soon to be The CW
Television Network. affiliate
Don't know the WB? Don't worry that's one reason for the change.
Although it's a fun job. It's not nearly as sexy or exciting than it
sounds.
But, it beats many jobs I've had in my life.

Live with the wife in a comfortable non extravagant home .

Been playing strat-o-matic board games/computer games for over ten
years.
My first passion was football back in 1976.

Photo:
Myself and uncle John Saunders on the set of ESPN Sportscenter.
Long  story short, I'm the one on the left :-).
Took it back on a trip in 2004.

Maine was originally drafted as the Phlorida Gators by Justin Gates.  Mr Gates in his press releases and league memos wrote anything with the letter F as 'PH'.  Strange guy, went on to lawschool and had to trim his time.  A very active owner who built a fairly competitive team in his 3 year run.  The Burlington Black Sox were picked up by a long time Strat gamer named Tim Foss. Tim tried to rebuild a bit but it never panned out for the BlackSox whoose name must have been a bad baseball omen.  The teams dropped out of contention fairly quick and never factored much.  The ownership was relatively lax and his participation dwindled a bit, some neglect led to his 'resignation' . After the season 2002 when Claude Lamarre founder of CBA resigned as commish and stayed as a GM, Quebec Capitale GM Chris Boutet (Jeff Brother) took the reigns, and imposed higher usage %.  115%.  Skewing the stats a bit, the league fell into hard times as Chris resigned, and the co-founder, and co-organizer of CBA myself and Gerlad Benoit took it over.  Foss was released and Thom Austad brought in as the Minnesota Muskies.  He drafted well, but had to resign with problems.  Anthony Cusumano took the franchise and called them Wantagh, Maine's direct predecessor.  Anthony drafted well, and built a very competitive team through trade, and was in the '04 pennant race until August.  His team faded, and when he traded some 'future pieces' to get into the title, he left his '05 team with diminished talent.  He grew discouraged and disappeared at the end of '05.   Maine was taken over by Mike Koepp and has a challenging task of building this franchise into a winner. Maine has never made the playoffs in its 10 year history.
